the official naming of its campus as the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Campus, honoring one of
the most significant philanthropic gifts in the school’s 45-year history.
At a special morning ceremony, DKJA’s Head of School, Helena Levine, addressed students,
families, faculty, staff, board members, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the
transformative moment.

“This is more than a new name,” Levine said. “It is a reflection of vision, of leadership, of
extraordinary generosity — and a beautiful example of l’dor v’dor, the passing of values from
generation to generation.”
Marilyn and Stanley Katz have long been known for their passionate commitment to Jewish life
and community. Through this landmark gift, their legacy will now help shape the future of Jewish
education at DKJA, ensuring that the values they cherish continue to thrive in the next
generation of leaders.
The dedication comes during a period of exceptional growth and momentum for DKJA. Now in
its 45th year, the school has reached its highest-ever enrollment, with more than 750 students
on campus each day. Earlier this year, DKJA was named the #2 Jewish school in the United
States by Niche.com.
“We are expanding programs, elevating experiences, and continuing to build a school where
kindness is our culture and Jewish values are at the heart of everything we do,” Levine said.
“Now, our campus bears a name that represents enduring commitment, deep love for
community, and a bold investment in future generations.”
In addition to honoring the Katz family, Levine offered thanks to their grandchild and his wife,
Brian and Caryn Doppelt for entrusting DKJA with the education of their children; to the Jewish
