Dear DKJA Families,
On behalf of the Donna Klein Jewish Academy Parent Teacher Organization, we would like to welcome each of you to the 2016-17 school year! As we begin our first year as Co-Presidents of the PTO, we are truly excited for all of the fun and community-building that lies ahead.
The PTO’s primary purpose is to support the amazing faculty and staff at DKJA. We also seek to create fun and meaningful opportunities for our children and their families to come together outside of the classroom. Throughout the school year the PTO holds a wide variety of events aimed at increasing funds and resources to enrich your childrens’ experience as DKJA students. Our PTO Board is comprised entirely of volunteers who devote their time and energy to making the school year as enjoyable and exciting for our kids and our community as possible!
As DKJA families, you are automatically members of the PTO. We encourage you to become active members of our vibrant school community. Your involvement, whether it is your time, knowledge or resources makes a big difference in our success. We appreciate any level of participation. Whether it’s volunteering time in the Shuk, donating supplies to Teacher Appreciation Day, walking as a family in our 3rd Annual Neon Walk or sponsoring one of our events, there are options to suit your availability.
If you’d like to know more about volunteering, please contact any PTO Board member or just stop one of us on campus. We’d love to meet you and help get you involved. Every positive imprint we make on our children can have a big impact. If you are able to contribute to our efforts, day or evenings, we encourage you to join us! Many hands make the job easier.
If we haven’t already met, please come find us and introduce yourself! We can usually be found around campus or in the Shuk. We look forward to a great year together!
