Shelly Gross and her family have made Boca Raton their home since 1991, the the year Donna Klein Jewish Academy opened its doors on the Richard and Carole Siemens Jewish Campus of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. In 2013, after her third child completed DKJA, Shelly decided that it was time to give back to the school that had given so much to her family. Working on the Board of Trustees of DKJA has been one of her most rewarding life alongside fellow hard working, devoted colleagues who are dedicated to making DKJA a Jewish day school of excellence.
Shelly has been a volunteer in the community for the past 23 years. As a retired physical therapist, her approach to problem solving has been to set goals, determine how to reach them, and evaluate progress. This is the approach that the Board has used at DKJA. As the grandparent of twin 2 ½ year olds, Shelly looks forward to the day that she will attend Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day!
