DKJA Technology Staff Members Travel to Honduras as Part of Interfaith Collaborative Project: Goal of Program Is Bringing Global Social Change to Impoverished Community

1_IWLE1.JPG

The program is sponsored by the non-profit organization I Want to Learn English. Through the collaborative, interfaith efforts of IWLE, three organizations recently joined forces to provide computers, technology support, and funding for an interactive 13-station computer lab. DKJA, along with St. Andrew’s School of Boca Raton and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School in Coconut Grove, each contributed resources for the project.
Ingmar Soto, who handles technical support for DKJA, and Jorge Cobo, network administrator for DKJA, brought their expertise to the I Want to Learn English language lab at the Projecto MAMA (Mujere Amigas Milla Aparte/Woman Friends, Miles Apart) Community Center, in Honduras. The lab is the second of its kind established in the region through IWLE and its partners  and the organization strives to give opportunities to children that span the globe – literally.
